Three Run Jimmy Jack

One year we had to send back a bad cable modem. Maybe it was 4 years ago, we lived in Redwood City, and our company was called RCN. RCN sent us a box to send back the cable modem in. The box should have been empty. It wasn't. Inside was a golf tips vcr tape, some pamphlets about safety, and some other stuff, but what I remember most was the women's lingerie inside. That's right, RCN sent us women's underwear. Some red, some leopard colored, some black, a few different sizes some huge. some tiny, some just right. All new, with the tags still on. Why did RCN send us women's underwear in a box which should have been empty? I guess we will never know. We thought maybe someone who worked where they ship the boxes was receiving this stuff and decided to "pay it forward". Maybe UPS or FEDEX delivered to RCN by mistake. Maybe someone was having an affair and didn't want the person who they lived with to find out. We will never really know the answer. My wife picked out some of the underwear and started wearing it. I guess that would be the definition of "Lagniappe".
